The popular cartoon series for children also got its feature film. As expected instead of one rescue they now had to add a few of them to the film however I didn't see any problem there. The puppies leave their bay and go to a big city where, as expected, they then have a great adventure. The film has its main story that is followed by several smaller ones. Each puppy got his moment in the film where they shone, but one puppy got a big part in the film where we see also a part of his past, all in order to teach us a valuable lesson. A few funny scenes, a lot of expected and quite predictable scenes with questionable logic, but still this is a movie where little dogs save people from difficult and dangerous situations, and besides it is a movie for children so they are all forgiven. Also a plus for the film is that it doesn't look like some extended episode but like a standalone film that is an upgrade to the whole series. A fun movie for kids.

Fun movie for kids
Did we have to get a Paramount+ account so my kids could watch it again after seeing it in the theater? Yep.
This film accomplished exactly what it set out to do; it was a fun, summer film that my kids fell in love with. As someone who has seen nearly every episode of Paw Patrol due to my four young children, there were some great callbacks to the series. The animation was fantastic, the music was surprisingly good and there were enough jokes to keep parents invested.
At its core, the film had a great story of overcoming fear and adversity, while also sticking together as a team. The antagonist was oversimplified and lacked depth, but that's what you expect in a children's movie.
Paw Patrol: The Movie not as brilliant as a Pixar film, but it's not unwatchable like some other animated features. The film had a specific target audience, and it nailed its core objective.

Have they watched it a dozen times since then? Absolutely.
Do they want to buy all the new "Paw Patrol: The Movie" characters and toys? You better believe it!
