Beautiful Norwegian ski backdrop to this pointless film about a spoiled drug using looser of a royal.

This film picks up right where Royalteen left off, with Princess Margarethe face down in the middle of the prom. I am a massive fan of the Norwegian series Skam, which is how I watched Royalteen in the first place and while that one dealt with some darker values...I felt like this was a much weaker film as we deal with the twin sister Margarethe.

Margarethe is supposed to be the picture of the perfect royal, but she is not. I failed to connect with the message almost immediately as I don't perceive Margarethe as anywhere near perfect...even in her obligatory appearances. She is a titled, spoiled rich girl who wastes her time on drugs, alcohol, pity parties, and being spectacularly awful to people. She has a friend who wants to be a famous dj which she encourages (the only nice thing she does in the film) and she wastes even more valuable time by offering herself up to the Danish prince and then a random Good Samaritan. Her big amazing "shocking" moment did not seeing shocking let alone interesting.

Whereas Royalteen had some redeeming qualities...this film does not. I am afraid this is not a recommendation from me.

I didn't even understand the story even I had watched it

This movie is better than the first one. I love the characters, but I didn't get the story. I don't know what are you trying to tell the audience. I don't see the point.

I understand, you trying to let people know about princess Margrethe, but some scenes, let's say 'many scenes' isn't necessary at all.

After I watched it, I confused. I don't know who's the main lead male. You brought the prince from Denmark I thought he was the one. But nah. Okay you brought someone from the street, he is gentle, kind, I thought he was the one also. But no! There's no the right person I thought. I don't know why you brought that guy on the show. To show Magrethe's feeling? NO! You can make better alternative ways for this.

At least, her friend (I don't even recognize him) ended up with her, i was surprised. I know he's kind sweet person, but the show didn't let me know him much as it should so I didn't care about him much.

Btw, I love lead actress very much. She's pretty, I love her acting. She showed me a incredible performance. I love her facial expression. I love how brave she is. She's my favorite character i can tell.

I hope my reviews won't hurt anyone. I didn't write it with hatred or anger. Just gave you my opinion. Everyone has their own perspective.

God bless you all.

oh, how bad...

Norwegian actors are when speaking their own birthlanguage norwegian, its a shame and its a sign of sickness within the league of norwegian actors training when they eat up the words and snaps away word endings which results in a kind of blurry dialogue that i, the grumpy old norwegian man, had to switch on english subtitles to understand the baseline of the story. Its terrible and its not due to dialect, they just give a crap and a farth in their own identity and language, shame on them and the director too that doesnt correct that soundimage...

otherwise its a flat longdrawn story about a flat and regular and boring life in a highly untypical role as ''princess'' of norway.

The fact that the real norwegian princess are going through the same era of life and age at the end of highschool life, doing driving lessons and all the other(stupid) stuff that youth usually does at 18-19 years of age makes this story quite a challenge to swallow, anyway, but i think the director hasnt ceased the chance to make this a roll of fun, nor dreary romantic dramedy...

so in fear of offending the royal family of plagiarism making a fun strobelight throwing comedy, instead of making a groundhogian day like recurring backflashing of a promball night that went viral cause the queen to come hadnt learned her lesson well enough how to behave at a party, which i guess is everybodys nightmare waking up drunk and weary after the party having bondanger , what did i do?, say?, behave ?etc ?etc?.

Its a film without tops or downs on the acting , the spoken word ive already spelled my curse on , the whole flick may for some feel like a music demo tape, with at least 18 small stubbs of norwegian popish music, and i will never , unless tortured to, make another watch of this film. Norwegian actors must learn to pronounciate their own language or start making films in english. A no recommend from the grumpy old man.
