It's a little difficult to know what you're getting with romance movies. Some are super cute, have a good story, and some I've even watched more than once. I can look on here and read reviews, and that helps some, but this one, with not much to go on, I gave it a try. It's an OK story, fairly decent actors, but I it's really disappointing when they create a romance movie with two people who would never, ever, ever be together in real life. Why do that? It just spoils the whole fantasy of the romance. Of course all these type movies are highly, highly predictable, but I just can't finish one that is so fake and unbelievable.

More unrealistic than normal Hallmark-ish movies
The Butterfly and the boxer packs some punch
Respectfully, I think your reviews miss the mark. First of all, you don't have the same trite hallmark type tried and true leads , I .e. Lacey Chabert and Danica McKellar to name a few, plus Katrina Norman in my opinion is the better actress. The same holds true for the male lead Brock Yurich who has some Reacher / Alan Ritchson in him-if you don't know what I'm talking about stop right here. Moreover, the story concept is innovative meaning no bakeries, flower shops, wedding planners, weddings, etc and the film is nicely photographed.
Yeah , I know the sandwich thing is overdone but gratefully it faded. I admit I was initially concerned with the dialogue as the the word " literally " , which has replaced " awesome" as an overdone catchphrase , was said three times in the first ten minutes but it wasn't heard again after that. As added bonus" dude " was heard only once and "bro" not at all : the writers deserve some credit
Give the movie a break, watch it again if you think I don't know what the hell I'm taking about: it's a fresh take on the tried and true hall mark theme.
Predictable movie, unrealistic happy ending
Very thin Hallmark-type romantic drama film with an incredibly predictable plot, and wooden acting from the lead characters. The introduction of the main character's mother at the end (it was obvious from the introductory scenes that this would happen, so this isn't really a spoiler) was probably meant to spice up the romantic side of the story and bring some drama, but the way the story unfolded, you could sort of anticipate every next plot point, and how it would get resolved. A couple of the supporting characters added some much needed comedy to this dreary film. From a production standpoint, the dance scenes worked, but the lighting and angles in some of the more tense and dramatic scenes were what people call unresolved. Whelp, when this is the only thing on in the waiting room and you have 90 minutes to kill, and this is what's on, this might be your jam.
